- updated linux gazette fucntion calls a whle ago.. can't remember when
  exactly, but it now distinguishes between a a gui and non-gui term and
  launches the appropriate terminal.
- added the .bash/custom.sh file; allows machine- and domain- specific
  configuration to be added (see the fiel for usage infomration).
- incremented version to 0.2.1
